National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Firefighter Appreciation Event

Dover International Speedway, Dover, Delaware

On Sunday, October 4th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company presented for display its 1968 Mack R-Model Pumper at the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) – Annual Firefighter Appreciation Event at the Dover International Speedway.

The mission of the National Fallen Firefighters’ Foundation is to honor and remember America's fallen fire heroes, to provide resources to assist their survivors in rebuilding their lives, and work within the Fire Service Community to reduce firefighter deaths and injuries.

This special event is available to firefighters, their families, and friends to join the NFFF Hospitality Tent before the race to meet and visit with firefighters from other communities, as well as to partake in some special events and presentations.

This year’s activities included NFFF merchandise and door prizes, trackside access and tours, driver presentations, question and answers as well as performances by the Delaware State Police Pipes & Drums.
