Friday August, 14 2015 @ 07:43 Nature: Vehicle Accident Serious Location: Paradise Grill
On Friday morning, August 14th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident in the area of the Paradise Grill. It was reported to be a golf cart hitting pole with the occupant being ejected. Emergency response units from Indian River include Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police, the Delaware State Police – aviation and ground units, and the Sussex County Paramedics. Emergency response crews were assigned to assign with patient stabilization, scene mitigation, traffic and pedestrian limitation, and establishing a landing zone for the incoming aviation units. It appears that a golf cart was traveling southeast on Bay Road in the vicinity of the Paradise Grill and ran into the bulkhead pilings for the entrance ramp. It appears that occupant was propelled into the windshield and then ejected onto the ground. The occupant of the golf cart was transported to the appropriate medical facility via the Delaware State Police Trooper 2 Aviation Unit. The Delaware State Police are investigating. |
