Early Friday morning, September 4^th, during a period of inclement weather and passing thunderstorms, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82) and Millsboro (83) fire companies were alerted for a residential structure fire on Sea Breeze Court in the Rehoboth Shores development off Long Neck Road. Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Sussex County Paramedics.  It was reported that fire alarm detectors were activated, occupants smells smoke and identified a possible lightning strike. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Chief 80, Rescue 80 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. Emergency response units identified a single wide manufactured home with nothing evident from the exterior upon arrival.

Emergency response crew assignments included a 360 evaluation, exterior and interior evaluation with no findings, the emergency response assignments were reduced, with units on location continuing the on-going evaluation of the structure.  There were some power issues in some areas of the structure.

After evaluation and discussion with the occupants, all emergency response units were authorized to clear the incident location.
