Nature: MVC – BLS – Mutual Aid Assist – Harbeson Road

Location: Harbeson Road / Cool Spring Road – Harbeson

On Saturday afternoon, August 29^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was returning from a previous incident in Long Neck and assisted the Lewes (82) Fire Department with a motor vehicle accident on Harbeson Road at the Cool Spring Road intersection.  It was reported to be a two vehicle accident.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Long Neck area.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization where needed, vehicle stabilization where needed, traffic control and incident mitigation pending arrival of 82 command units.

It appears that a blue Ford Escape and a silver Jeep Gladiator collided at the intersection causing damage to both vehicles.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
