Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Address: Long Neck Rd and Main St., Bay City

On Friday evening, August 7^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road and Main Street near Bay City.  Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization, traffic control and incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that silver Honda Pilot and gray Chrysler mini-van collided on Main Street in the entrance to Bay City.  One person requested EMS for evaluation.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
