Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: 32843 Long Neck Rd., 19966

On Saturday afternoon, August 1^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad were alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road near Radie Kay and Ridgewood Roads.  It was reported to possibly be a two-vehicle accident – head on.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization where needed, patient stabilization where needed, traffic control and overall incident mitigation.

It appears that a gray Dodge RAM 1500 pick up and a gray Toyota 4Runner collided on Long Neck Road. 

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
