Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm – Commercial Residential Structure

On Tuesday, July 28^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm within a multi-family, three story residential complex on 18^th Boulevard in the Peninsula.  It was reported that a garage pull station was activated.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior evaluation of the facility as well as an interior evaluation. 

It was identified that someone was power washing the facility when the pull station was activated.  The situation was reviewed and placed on officers' call for approximately 12 hours with the request to have the pull station repaired via certified personnel.

All emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective station.
