Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

On Monday evening, June 29^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad was alerted for a vehicle accident with injuries.  Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics and the Delaware State Police – Aviation Unit – Trooper #2.  It was reported that a person fell off a golf cart.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization and evaluation where needed.  The additional medic and aviation units were cancelled as was additional emergency response units other than Squad 80.

It appears that a 16 year old fell off a golf cart in the Pot Nets Creekside development off Long Neck Road. The person was transported to nearby medical facilities for additional observation.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
