Nature: Alarms - Residential (Single) - Carbon monoxide

On Friday, June 12^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a carbon monoxide alarm sounding incident on Hammerhead Drive in the Stonewater Creek development off Indian Mission Road.  It was reported that the CO detectors have activated within the residential structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included an initial size up task, exterior and interior evaluation with gas meter detectors as well as an overall evaluation.  There was an issue identified and the utility service provider was requested to the incident location.  

After discussion with the property occupants, one emergency response unit remained and the other were authorized to return to their respective quarters.  The utility service provider did provide additional corrective action services.
