On Monday morning, June 8th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was were alerted for an automatic alarm sounding in a commercial location on Prowler Street in the Sun Retreats – Rehoboth Bay Park formerly Leisure Point.  It was reported to be a fire alarm sounding.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility.  The Delaware State Fire Police assisted as well.

Emergency response crews completed an initial 360 exterior evaluation and commenced discussion with the contractors on location performing work.

The incident was placed under control and all units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.  This location was placed on officer’s call for 36 hours.
