Nature: Traffic Collision w/Injuries

On Saturday morning, June 6^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and Mid Sussex Rescue Squad were alerted for a traffic collision with injuries in the Shore Plaza Shopping Center off John J. Williams Highway.  It was reported to be a scooter hitting a curb and the person fell off causing injury.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization and traffic control.  All other response units were cancelled.

It appears that a person was operating a scooter in the Shore Plaza Shopping Center struck a curb and fell off.  One person was transported to nearby medical facilities.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
