Nature: Electrical Hazard
Location: Goose Pond Rd and Long Neck Rd- Rehoboth Shores, DE 19966
On Sunday evening, February 22th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an electrical hazard on Goose Pond Road and Long Neck Road in the vicinity of Rehoboth Shores. It was reported as transformer in front of the development sparking.
Emergency response units from Indian River followed the inclement weather protocol which required the closest facility to mitigate the emergency incident without putting an abundance of apparatus on the street. Brush 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as their assigned crew members from their duty crew responded to the incident.
The crew evaluated the area and reported the necessary information to the Sussex County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for assignment to respective utility service company.
All emergency response crews were authorized to return to their quarters.
