Nature: Residential Fire Alarm Sounding

On Friday morning, December 19^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a residential alarm sounding incident on Derrickson Drive in the Walden development off Holly Mount Road. It was reported to be a key pad fire alarm activation.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews were able to make contact with the residential occupants and identified an operator error prior to arrival of emergency apparatus and the homeowner desired to cancel.

All emergency response units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
