Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm Sounding – Residential

Location: 26332 Tributary Blvd Peninsula Lakes, DE 19966

On Saturday afternoon, December 13thth, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding incident on Tributary Boulevard in the Peninsula Lakes development off Bay Farm Road. It was reported to be an alarm sounding in or near the mud room with no additional information.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included a 360 evaluation of the structure with location of utilities as well as a discussion with the homeowner.  A crew was assigned to perform an interior evaluation as well.

It was identified that the alarm system had reset itself prior to arrival and the homeowner was attempting to cancel.

All emergency response units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
