Nature: Carbon Monoxide Detector

Location: 26018 Redwing Lane Rehoboth Shores, DE 19966

On Wednesday morning, July 16^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a carbon monoxide detector activation on Redwing Lane in the Rehoboth Shore development off Long Neck Road.  It was reported to be multiple activations at this residential location.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Rescue 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior and interior evaluation of the residential structure and as well as monitoring the interior location. 

After evaluation, it was determined that the residential location issue was a faulty detector.  Emergency response personnel installed a replacement detector for the property owner.  All units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
