Nature: Carbon Monoxide Detector

Location: 22279 Dune Circle The Peninsula, DE 19966

On Monday morning, July 14th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for multiple automatic alarms which included two (2) automatic fire alarm soundings and one (1) carbon monoxide detector sounding.

Automatic Fire Alarm Incidents:

• Stonewater Creek Incident - Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard Facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility.  All units were cancelled while responding to the incidents as per the homeowner request with proper passcodes.

• Sherwood Forest  Incident - Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard Facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility.  After discussion with home occupant, all units were authorized to return to their respective quarters and the incident was identified as occupant error.

Carbon Monoxide Incident:

• Peninsula Incident - Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard Facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility.  After discussion with home occupant, all units were authorized to return to their respective quarters and the incident was identified as battery issues with the detector.
