Tuesday July, 8 2025 Nature: Inclement Weather Passes Thru Sussex County Location: Station #1 – Oak Orchard On Tuesday evening, July 8th, as much of Sussex County was placed under Severe Thunderstorm Warnings with potential wind gusts up to 60 mph and possible minor damage to roofs, trees, siding, power lines, etc. may be encountered. The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company did not have any weather-related alarm activations but did experience some downed trees and conditions resulting from the passing periods of inclement weather.
