Identified herewith is an incident synopsis of these responses:

  1. Nature: Marine Fire Incident Information may be obtained by viewing the following webpage - https://irvfc.com/gallery/detail?id=54041

  2. Nature: Alarms - Residential (Single) - Carbon monoxide alarm was received as emergency response units were returning from the marine fire.  Tanker 80 responded by the Oak Orchard facility to investigate the incident within the Seabrooke development.   After evaluation and discussion with the property occupants all units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.

  3. Nature: Citizen Assist / Service Call – Person Locked in Vehicle alarm was received as emergency response units included Utility 80-11 from the Oak Orchard facility and Brush 80 from the Long Neck facility. Access to the vehicle was gained and the occupant was being evaluated by EMS personnel.

  4. Nature: Automatic Crash Notification – John W. Williams Highway and Shore Plaza Blvd.  Emergency response units evaluated for a vehicle accident but was unable to locate any incident of concern.  All emergency response units were cancelled and authorized to return to their quarters.

  5. Gas Leak (Natural and LP Gases) – Banks Road.  Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facilty and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility.  It was reported to be propane tank in the shed hissing with strong odor of propane

Our hope is to increase awareness within our immediate fire district to mitigate the quantity of these unwanted automatic fire alarm and unfounded automatic crash notification incidents.
