Nature: Medical Emergency – Landing Zone / Lift Assist Assignment

City: Pinewater Farm

Identified herewith is an incident synopsis of these responses:

On Tuesday, June 24th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm incident on Hammerhead Drive in the Stonewater Creek development off Indian Mission Road and a landing zone / lift assist assignment in the Pinewater Farm development off of Sloan Road. 

1. Automatic Fire Alarm Sounding - Residential location.  Emergency response units included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility. 

2. Medical Emergency – Landing Zone assignment was the original dispatch but was subsequently cancelled and amended to a lifting assignment at the incident.  Emergency response units included 80-11 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engines 80 and #80-1 from the Long Neck facility.

Our hope is to increase awareness within our immediate fire district to mitigate the quantity of these unwanted automatic fire alarm incidents.
