Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: 26663 Terrapin Rd Pot Nets Seaside, DE 19966

On Saturday evening, June 7^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident involving a golf cart with reported occupant ejection.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, the Sussex County Paramedics and the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit – Trooper #2. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80-1 and Tanker 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. 

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization where needed and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a golf cart struck a tree in the Pot Nets Seaside development ejecting the occupant.  It was requested that all responding fire apparatus and aviation be cancelled prior to arrival on scene.  Engine #80-1 continued to the location to oversee the efforts as Incident Command.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
