Nature: Holly Lake Hosts Community Awareness Day

Location: 32087 Holly Lake Road, Millsboro, DE  19966

On Saturday, May 31^st, the Fire Prevention Cohort of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company attended the Holly Lake Campground “Community Awareness Day” with an offering of fire prevention educational and safety initiatives as well as information to enhance fire safety and prevention awareness.

Also, in attendance were the following entities:

• Delaware State Police Aviation Unit – Trooper 2

• Delaware State Police – Patrol Unit Display

• DNREC Marine Police Unit with Boat Display

• County Bank Promotional Booth

• Indian River VFC – Traffic Control / Fire Police Unit

• Indian River VFC – Brush 80

The purpose and intent of these Community Awareness Days are to highlight social causes, celebrate local action, and promote inclusivity. These events encourage connection, compassion, and stronger communities.
