Nature: Structure Fire

On Thursday afternoon, May 22^nd, the Indian River (80) and Dagsboro (73) fire department were alerted to assist Millsboro Fire Company with a structure fire on Mount Joy Road between Miller Street and Hollyville Road.  It was reported to be a working structure fire.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 and 80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included assistance with fire suppression efforts, provide water supply to Millsboro’s Engine and respond to the manpower pool.

Initial arriving units found a single wide manufactured home with heavy smoke showing and quickly initiated a fire suppression effort as well as coordinating a primary search.

The Delaware State Fire Police provide traffic control assistance with the closure of Mount Joy Road for the duration of the incident.
