Nature: Fire Police Assist Delaware State Police – Traffic Control

On Sunday morning, May 18^th, the Delaware State Fire Police assigned to the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company were alerted to assist the Delaware State Police with traffic control near the intersection of Bay Farm Road and School Lane.

It appears that a pontoon boat being hauled on a personal trailer broke at or near the intersection causing the ponton boat to block the roadway requiring traffic control assistance.

The Delaware State Police requested the Delaware State Fire Police and DELDOT Traffic Management Section for assistance pending removal of the pontoon from the roadway.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with limiting traffic access on Bay Farm Road from School Lane for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating the incident.
