On Friday morning, May 16th, the Indian River (80) and Lewes (82) fire departments were alerted multiple times for an automatic fire alarm for a second floor smoke detector activation multiple times throughout the morning.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 and anker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident mitigation efforts, notification of the complex maintenance personnel, exterior evaluation of the structure with a visual interior evaluation with nothing obvious evident. 

The rationale for the alarm sounding has been undetermined and the complex management have been notified of the operational concerns as well as the residential owners to perform mitigation repairs.

All emergency fire response units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
