Nature: Traffic Collision

Address: Cannon Rd and Friendship Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday  evening, May 13^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and Mid Sussex Rescue Squad were alerted for a vehicle accident at the intersection of Cannon Road and Friendship Road.  It was reported to be a hit and run type vehicle accident involving a BMW sedan and an unknown type black vehicle.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Deputy 80 from the Long Neck area. The other response units were from the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization where needed, preliminary traffic control and overall incident mitigation efforts.  All persons refused additional medical observations.

It appears that a BMW was at or approaching the intersection when its was struck by an unknown type black vehicle causing minor front end damage to the BMW.  The other fled the incident location.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
