Nature: Alarms - Residential (Single) - Smoke detector

On Monday afternoon, May 14th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding on Creek Drive in Winding Creek Village off Banks Road.  It was reported as smoke detector activation inside the residential structure.

Emergency response units included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews were notified while responding that there was additional contact with the homeowner and proper passcodes were given and identified a culinary mishap.

All apparatus were cancelled and returned to their respective quarters.
