Early Wednesday morning, May 14th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for smoke alarms sounding within the entire residential structure as well as an electrical outrage.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 and Engine 80-1 from a previous incident in the Long Neck area.  Additionally, the Delaware State Fire Police responded to assist.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident mitigation efforts, exterior evaluation before making access for an interior evaluation. 

The rationale for the alarm soundings were associated with the electrical outrage in the area.  There were not any findings or issues.

All emergency fire response units were authorized to return and respond to additional emergency incidents in the area.
