Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Warwick Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Monday afternoon, May 5^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company, the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Sussex County Paramedics were alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Warwick Road.  It was reported to be a vehicle into the trees.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine 80 and #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit – Trooper 2 before being cancelled.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization, traffic control and overall incident mitigation efforts. The vehicle occupants were transported to nearby medical facilities.

It appears that a silver Toyota RAV-4 SUV vehicle was purportedly involved in multiple vehicular mishaps between the Oak Orchard and Warwick area before running into a wooded area at the intersection of John J. Williams Highway and Warwick Road.

The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control assistance for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
