Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm – Residential Structure

On Sunday, May 4th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding incident on Falcon Crest Drive in the Falcon Crest development off Beaver Dam Road. It was reported to be an alarm sounding with no additional information.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Chief 80, Tower 80 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included a completed 360 evaluation of the building with location of utilities and no visible issues but audible alarms sounding with HVAC contractors on-scene.  A crew was assigned to perform and interior evaluation as well.

It was identified to be no known reason for the alarms with the alarm system resetting automatically.

All emergency response units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
