The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company recently conducted essential hands-on training for our new recruits to better prepare them for basic and structural firefighting skills. These training evolutions provided an invaluable opportunity for firefighters to sharpen their skills in simulated scenarios, reinforcing their ability to protect and serve the community.
Over the course of the training, firefighters filled the training facilities with fire from burning hay, filled the structure with smoke, practiced entry, knocking down fire, and conducted search-and-rescue drills—all designed to enhance their readiness for real-life emergencies.
The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to these dedicated volunteers and instructors of the Delaware State Fire School (DSFS) for their training and assistance.
Illustrated herewith are a few photographs of these personnel.
