Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Victorias Landing Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Saturday, April 26^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway at Victoria’s Landing Road near Harris Teeter.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization where needed, traffic control, vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, and overall incident mitigation. 

It appears that a tan Ford compact car and a White BMW 228i collided on John J. Williams Highway at the intersection of Victoria’s Landing Road. The westbound traffic patterns along John J. Williams Highway were detoured for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control pending clearance of the traffic travel lanes.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
