Nature: Vehicle Accident

On Monday, April 7th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road in the vicinity of Sussex Eye Care. It was reported to be a two vehicle rear-end type collision with the vehicles off the roadway in the Long Neck United Methodist Church parking area.
Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Millsboro EMS Units and the Delaware State Fire Police.
Emergency response crew assignments included fluid and debris clean-up where needed, patient stabilization where needed, traffic control and overall incident mitigation efforts.
It appears that a white minivan type vehicle struck the rear of Jeep Wrangler while navigating on Long Neck Road. EMS units were on location and provided evaluation for all occupants.
The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.
The Delaware State Police are investigating.
