Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Long Neck Rd and School Lane Millsboro, DE 19966

On Monday morning, April 7^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road at the School Lane intersection.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision with the vehicles in the roadway.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included fluid and debris clean-up, vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization where needed, traffic control and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a silver Buick Verano and a silver Chevrolet Captiva collided in the intersection causing front end damage to both vehicles which were rendered inoperable. EMS units were on location and provided evaluation for all occupants.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
