Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Victoria’s Landing Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday afternoon, April 4^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Wiliams Highway near Victoria’s Landing.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision with both vehicles in the middle of the roadway.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engin #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization where needed, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a black Honda sedan and a gray Chevrolet Trax collided at the intersection of John J. Williams Highway and Bay Farm Shopping Center. The Sussex County Paramedics and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad were utilized to provide EMS.  Both vehicles were rendered in appropriate.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
