Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: Indian Mission Rd and Silicato Dr Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday morning, March 27^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Indian Mission Road at Silicato Drive.  It was reported by the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad for a two vehicle accident with the possibility of two patients.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  The Sussex County Paramedics and the Millsboro EMS units were dispatched to the incident location as well.

Emergency response crew assignments included assistance with patient stabilization where needed, traffic control, vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery and as well as overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a white Chevrolet Equinox and a Hyundai sedan collided at the intersection causing damage to both vehicles and requiring two persons to be evaluated by EMS personnel.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
