Nature: Indian River Hosts Vehicle Rescue Training Evolutions

Location: Station #2 – Long Neck

On Wednesday evening, March 26th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company conducted vehicle rescue training to enhance firefighter skills in vehicle stabilization tactics, extrication techniques, patient care, and scene safety.

Utilizing specialized hydraulic tools (i.e., cutters, rams, struts and spreaders) in a simulated emergency scenario enhances the first responders’ knowledge, skills, and abilities.  These hands-on training evolutions ensure our responders are prepared to effectuate real-life accidents efficiently and effectively while improving response times and overall proficiency.

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company hereby acknowledges our corporate sponsors that donated the vehicles for the training sessions as well as all of the volunteer participants that attended the training evolutions.
