Nature:  Automatic Fire Alarm Sounding – Residential Incident

Location: 27144 Sailside Dr., The Peninsula, DE 19966

On Saturday evening, March 22nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding on Sailside Drive in the Peninsula development off Bay Farm Road. 

Emergency response units included Tower 80 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments and units were cancelled while responding to the incident location as per the homeowner and the Sussex County Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

A discussion with the homeowner requested cancellation of all emergency response apparatus and personnel. 

All units were cancelled and returned.
