Nature: Auxiliary Contributes to New Training Room

Location: Station 2 – Banks Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday, March 14^th, the Auxiliary of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company presented fire company representatives with a ceremonial check for $10,000 towards the development of a training room within the proposed new fire facility.

Auxiliary President Bonnie Rogers stated that “good firefighter training is essential to ensure that every firefighter is prepared to tackle the assigned tasks. Training firefighters means more than just preparing them to suppress fires!  It requires a commitment to consistent training to ensure our first responders are adequately suited with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform their chosen tasks.”

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company hereby acknowledges and thanks the Auxiliary for their generous contribution as well as their years of support towards the volunteer fire company.
