Wednesday June, 24 2015 @ 19:00 hrs Nature: Aviation Unit Famialization Location: Indian Mission Road, Millsboro, DE 19966 Indian River attends training to prepares firefighters for medical aviation transports Firefighters from the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company recently participated in a training exercise with the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit (Trooper #2) and a LifeNet Aviation Unit helicopter transport to familiarize themselves with emergency transport procedures in the event of a need. In addition to learning the locations of various equipment and aircraft awareness, personnel went over emergency loading and unloading procedures and highlighting some of the emergency shut procedures for the helicopter's engines. |
