Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm Sounding

Location: 27329 18Th Blvd., The Peninsula, DE 19966

On Sunday, March 9^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding on 18th Blvd in the Peninsula development off Bay Farm Road.  

Emergency response units included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior evaluation of the residential structure as well as an interior evaluation as well and was unable to identify any issues.

It was undetermined why the activation was transpiring. A discussion with the homeowner and person monitoring the residence did not yield any affirmative conclusion as to why.  They were apprised to have their alarm system evaluated.   

All units were cancelled and returned.
