Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 32340 River Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday evening, March 7^th, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82), and Millsboro (83) fire companies were alerted for a structure fire incident on River Road.  It was reported that a good Samaritan was walking their dog and heard fire alarms sounding and could smoke near a residence on River Road in the vicinity of Wynikako Avenue in Riverdale Park.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility with Engine 80 and Incident Command 80 from the Long Neck area as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an incident evaluation and size up task noting that the residential structure was under renovations with audible alarms sounding but nothing visible.  The incident was downgraded to just Indian River units that were already on location all other units were cancelled.

After evaluation of both interior and exterior of the structure, it was marked good intent as the smoke alarms were sounding due to an unknown reason.  Indian River did make contact with the residential owner and identified the concern.
