Nature: Elevator/Escalator Rescue

On Wednesday, March 5th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an elevator / escalator rescue incident within the Carillon Woods complex. This incident was reported to be an occupant and canine stuck in the elevator and needed assistance.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident evaluation and assistance with accessing the elevator car. The process included securing and verifying the safety of the occupant in the elevator.

There were no injuries associated with any of the incidents.
