Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm – Residential Location

Location: 33366 Marina Bay Circle The Peninsula, DE 19966

On Friday, February 21st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm on Marina Bay Circle in the Peninsula development off Bay Farm Road.  This incident notification was an automatic fire alarm sounding.

Emergency response units included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior evaluation of the residential structure.

It was determined that this incident was the result of the resident changing batteries.

All units were cancelled and returned.
