Nature: Gas Leak
Location: 31763 Braxton Harmon Dr Millsboro, DE 19966
On Thursday morning, February 20th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a gas leak incident inside a residential structure. It was reported to be a gas odor inside the structure, gas was recently delivered to the residential location earlier in the day.
Emergency response crews from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.
Emergency response crew assignments included an initial exterior evaluation of the structure as well as an interior evaluation with gas meter readings, the gas tanks were shut off and the house was ventilated via natural ventilation. The homeowners as advised to contact her gas company and check her appliances.
All emergency response units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
