Nature: Elevator / Escalator Rescue

On Sunday, February 16^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted multiple times for numerous elevator / escalator rescue incidents within the Carillon Woods complex. Each incident involved an occupant stuck in the elevator between floors and needed assistance.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident evaluation and assistance where needed. The process included securing and verifying the safety of the occupant in the elevator.

There were no injuries associated with any of the incidents.
