Nature: Shed (Non-Vehicle Size)

Location: 36547 Pebble Dr., Pot Nets Coveside, DE 19966

On Wednesday morning, February 5^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a shed fire on Pebble Drive in the Pot Nets Coveside development off Long Neck Road. It was reported that her shed was on fire, she could smell smoke but could not see fire.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included deployment of 1¾” fire suppression line, evaluation with thermal imaging camera and investigation to fully identify areas of concern, as well as suppression with a pressurized water can and mitigation of the incident.

It appears that a small fire originated in a storage shed which burnt flooring and floor joists in a isolated area.  The incident was reviewed with the homeowner after evaluation and suppression efforts were completed.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.
