Nature: Fire Nature Unknown

Location: Long Neck Rd and Goose Pond Rd Rehoboth Shores, DE 19966

On Tuesday afternoon, February 4^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for fire nature unknown off Long Neck Road in the developments of Rehoboth Shores and Bay City between the fence areas separating the property lines.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Brush 80-0 and Engine 80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included apparatus response assignments being Brush 80-0 to the Rehoboth Shores entrance and access the fire locations and Tanker 80 and Engine #80-1 access the Bay City entrance to mitigation the incident from these access points.

It appears that brush, grass, and vegetation growth around the ponds, stormwater run-off trenches, shoulder of the roadway area were involved with the incident.  The origin of the fire remains unknown and burned areas parallel to the Bay City entrance and fence line.  Nearby residents provided information that will be utilized for evaluation and investigation.
