Nature: Residential Fire Alarm Sounding

Location: 26337 John J Williams Hwy Millsboro, DE 19966

On Wednesday, January 22nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a residential fire alarm sounding.  Information was received that a single residential structure’s fire alarm was sounding.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Incident Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police responded to assist.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident mitigation efforts, complete exterior evaluation and a visual interior evaluation which identified a culinary mishap.

Assistance was provided to the residential occupants with positive pressure ventilation.

All emergency response units that were not on location were cancelled.
