Nature: Alarms - Residential (Single) - Carbon monoxide

On Wednesday, January 22nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a gas leak incident on 18th Blvd in the Peninsula development off Bay Farm Road.  It was reported that the CO detectors were sounding within the residence.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior evaluation of the facility as well as a consultation with the property owner.

It appears that the occupants were changing their batteries within their CO detectors.

All emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective stations.
