Keep Fire Hydrants Clear of Snow – You Never Know When They Will Be Needed!

Over the past week, inclement weather fell upon us and the need to access nearby fire hydrants has been delayed because of accessibility issues.

Please remember…. “When snow falls, every second matters in an emergency!” That’s why it’s critical to keep fire hydrants clear of snow. After a snowfall, please take a moment to clear a 3-foot radius around hydrants near your home, including a path to the road and around all sides of the hydrant.

These efforts ensure firefighters have quick access when it’s needed most. A few minutes of shoveling can save precious time, lives and property.

Stay safe, and shovel smart! Thank You for helping us protect our community!
